मैं वैसां ना रहसां होड़े, कौन कोई मैं जांदी नूं मोड़े,
I cannot turn again; let blame fall on my head.
मैनूं मुड़ना होया मुहाल, सिर ते मेहना चा के,
I will follow the yogi, my forehead marked with love.
मैं वैसां जोगी दे नाल, मत्थे तिलक लगा के ।
No mere yogi: my heart's own friend. Why did I give him my love?
जोगी नहीं इह दिल दा मीता, भुल्ल गई मैं प्यार क्यों कीता,
One sight of him, and all composure fled.
मैनूं रही ना कुझ संभाल, उस दे दरशन पा के,

मैं वैसां जोगी दे नाल, मत्थे तिलक लगा के ।
What has this yogi done? His hooks are in my heart.
एस जोगी मैनूं कहियां लाईआं, हैन कलेजे कुंडियां पाईआं,
Sweet words were all he needed to cast love's net.
इश्क दा पाइआ जाल, मिट्ठी बात सुना के,

I knew the yogi truly; the people called me mad.
मैं जोगी नूं ख़ूब पछाता, लोकां मैनूं कमली जाता,
Ear-rings shining, he robbed all Jhang Sial.
लुट्टी झंग स्याल, कन्नीं मुन्दरां पा के,

Let the yogi enter home; all quarrels cease.
जे जोगी घर आवे मेरे, मुक्क जावन सभ झगड़े झेड़े,
I will hold him to my breast and bless the day a thousand times.
ला सीने दे नाल, लक्ख लक्ख शगन मना के,

Mother, a yogi has come; his fire burns at our door.
माए नी इक्क जोगी आया, दर साडे उस धूंआं पाइआ,
There he sits disguised, asking only for Heer.
मंगदा हीर स्याल, बैठा भेस वटा के,

Do not taunt me, aunts; fate brought him to our door.
तअने ना दे फुफ्फी ताई, एथे जोगी नूं किसमत लिआई,
Grace has flowered at last; accomplished in yoga, he has come.
हुन होया फ़ज़ल कमाल, आया है जोग सिधा के,

No herdsman: a divine light, his flute sounding beyond sound.
माही नहीं कोई नूर इलाही, अनहद दी जिस मुरली वाही,
With mighty spells he captured Heer.
मुठीयो सू हीर स्याल, डाढे कामन पा के,

लक्खां गए हज़ारां आए, उस दे भेत किसे ना पाए,

अबदहू रसूल कहाइआ, विच मिअराज बुर्राक मंगाइआ,
Gabriel led it forward; heaven rang with bridal songs.
जिबराईल पकड़ लै आया, हरां मंगल गा के,

मार्यो सू विच जद्दाल, पानी बिन तरसा के,
