Neither patient nor healer.
ना रोगी ना वैद ।
Neither believer nor unbeliever,
ना मैं मोमन ना मैं काफर,
neither noble-born nor quarry.
ना सईयेद ना सैद ।
Through fourteen realms I wander,
चौदीं तबकीं सीर असाडा,
nowhere held in chains.
किते ना हुन्दा कैद ।
In the ruined tavern I dwell,
ख़राबात मैं जाल असाडी,
beyond both praise and blame.
ना शोभा ना ऐब ।
Why ask the lineage of Bulleh's love?
बुल्ल्हा शहु दी ज़ात की पुछनैं,
Neither born nor begotten.
