FROM THE WORDS OF BULLEH SHAH

Mahi Ve Tain Milian

Beloved, Meeting You Ends Sorrow

Two ways into the same verse. Tap a line to find its echo.

They see a lowly herdsman; I see the Lord who pardons.

Beloved, with you all sorrow falls away.

Waiting to meet you, my eyes ran daily with grief.

Beloved, with you all sorrow falls away.

Parting left my heart, and light stood clear before me.

Beloved, with you all sorrow falls away.

Bulleh learned the secret—neither near nor far.

Beloved, with you all sorrow falls away.

One verse. Many voices.

Stay with the words.
Then hear how they travel.
