बंसी वालिआ काहन कहावें, सब दा नेक अनूप मनावें,
Our eyes cannot find you: what a baffling game you play.
अक्खियां दे विच नज़र ना आवें, कैसी बिखड़ी खेल रचाई ।

बंसी काहन अचरज बजाई ।
All hear and play the flute; few hear what it means.
बंसी सभ कोई सुने सुणावे, अरथ इस दा कोई विरला पावे,
Who hears the sound no hand has struck falls madly for this flute.
जो कोई अनहद की सुर पावे, सो इस बंसी का शौदाई ।

बंसी काहन अचरज बजाई ।
The flute rolled like thunder; my whole being cried like a peacock.
सुणीआं बंसी दियां घंगोरां, कूकां तन मन वांङू मोरां,
I watched its notes divide and meet: one tone gave rise to all.
डिठियां इस दियां तोड़ां जोड़ां, इक सुर दी सभ कला उठाई ।

Long is the flute's tale; those who sought it saw.
इस बंसी दा लंमा लेखा, जिस ने ढूंडा तिस ने देखा,
Joy traces the flute's design; praise rose from this very body.
शादी इस बंसी दी रेखा, एस वजूदों सिफत उठाई ।

इस बंसी दे पंज सत तारे, आप आपनी सुर भरदे सारे,
One tone breathes through them all and carries my senses away.
इक सुर सभ दे विच दम मारे, साडी इस ने होश भुलाई ।
