Alif, Allah: my heart is dyed in One.
अलफ़ अल्लाह नाल रत्ता दिल मेरा,
Of be, the second letter, I know nothing.
मैनूं 'बे' दी ख़बर ना काई ।
Be brings me no understanding;
'बे' पढ़दियां मैनूं समझ ना आवे,
Alif gives its sweetness to my tongue.
लज्जत अलफ़ दी आई ।
Ayn and ghayn remain unknown;
'ऐना ते गैना' नूं समझ ना जाणा,
Alif has told me all.
गल्ल अलफ़ समझाई ।
Bulleh, the word of alif comes true,
बुल्ल्हिआ कौल अलफ़ दे पूरे,
And washes clean the heart.
जिहड़े दिल दी करन सफाई ।
