BULLEH SHAHTHE LIVING VERSE
FROM THE WORDS OF BULLEH SHAH

Taiñ kit par pāuñ pasārā e

On what have you stretched your feet?

Two ways into the same verse. Tap a line to find its echo.

Where do you think your feet can rest?

A few breaths are all our lodging.

A blink, a gleam, this fair: act now.

Treasure this hour, this day. Where can your feet rest?

One night at an inn: do not settle in pride.

Tomorrow the drum calls all. Where can your feet rest?

You came from that home and took human form here.

Leave the idle gathering; act. Where can your feet rest?

Your illusion, Bullah, is a mountain on your head.

No road, no track leads there. Where can your feet rest?
