In the inn of birth and return you camp; your companions stand ready.
आवागौन सराईं डेरे, साथ त्यार मुसाफर तेरे,
The departure drums are sounding. Dear traveller, wake.
तैं ना सुण्यु कूच नगारे, अब तो जाग मुसाफ़र प्यारे ।
Do what this day asks; you will not return.
कर लै अज्ज करनी दा बेरा, बहुड़ ना होसी आवन तेरा,
Your friend calls, Onward! Dear traveller, wake.
साथी चलो चल्ल पुकारे, अब तो जाग मुसाफ़र प्यारे ।
Rich and poor rise from their beds and hurry home.
क्या सरधन क्या निरधन पौड़े, आपने आपने देश को दौड़े,
Hold fast the Name you found. Dear traveller, wake.
लद्धा नाम लै ल्यो सभारे, अब तो जाग मुसाफ़र प्यारे ।
Gems lie at your feet; beside the sea you thirst.
मोती चूनी पारस पासे, पास समुन्दर मरो प्यासे,
Open your eyes, rise, poor seeker. Dear traveller, wake.
खोल्ह अक्खीं उट्ठ बहु भिकारे, अब तो जाग मुसाफ़र प्यारे ।
Bullah, bow at the beloved's feet; shake off sleep and act.
बुल्ल्हआ शौह दी पैरीं पड़ीए, ग़फ़लत छोड़ कुझ हीला करीए,
Unguarded fields fall to the deer. Dear traveller, wake.
मिरग जतन बिन खेत उजाड़े, अब तो जाग मुसाफ़र प्यारे ।
