ख़ाकी ख़ाक सूं (स्युं) रल जाणा
No force can halt the journey.
कुछ नहीं ज़ोर धिङाना ।
My dear friends went away; not one came back.
गए सो गए फेर नहीं आए, मेरे जानी मीत प्यारे,
Once they could not bear to leave me—why forget me now?
मेरे बाझों रहन्दे नाहीं, हुन क्यों असां विसारे,
Earthborn, we return to earth.
ख़ाकी ख़ाक सूं (स्युं) रल जाना ।
Love stays in my heart; the long sighs never end.
चित प्यार ना जाए साथों, उभ्भे साह ना रहन्दे,
Among the living I sit, already far with the dead.
असीं मोयां दे परले पार, ज्यूंद्यां दे विच बहन्दे,
Earthborn, we return to earth.
ख़ाकी ख़ाक सूं (स्युं) रल जाना ।
Pursued there, we came here for shelter.
ओथे मगर प्यादे लग्गे, तां असीं एथे आए,
Here too we cannot stay—where must we run next?
एथे सानूं रहन ना मिलदा, अग्गे कित वल धाए,
Earthborn, we return to earth.
ख़ाकी ख़ाक सूं (स्युं) रल जाना ।
Bulleh, no one stays: we leave with tears and cries.
बुल्ल्हा एथे रहन ना मिलदा, रोंदे पिटदे चल्ले,
His name alone pays our way; no other coin is ours.
इको नाम ओसे दा ख़रची, पैसा होर ना पल्ले,
Earthborn, we return to earth.

Do not spend yourself in force.
